Uttermost Challenge

Slide1

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

What is the Uttermost Challenge?
The Uttermost Challenge 2017 is an effort to raise money for the Chalmers Fund. The Chalmers Fund supports local students (particularly FCS), who desire to attend Christian schools by providing scholarships. Additionally, the fund contributes to a movement in the Middle East to reestablish the church in areas that have experienced overwhelming persecution. Our efforts will not only help those locally, but will impact the Uttermost!

Who?
The entire FCS student body will be involved! The K-6 will participate on Friday, September15th and the 7th-12th on Thursday the 14th & Friday the 15th.

*Parents, your involvement on the day of the event will ensure our success! As part of our Uttermost Team, you will be a spotter along the track during various events. Bring a chair and come spend time with our students and faculty as we enjoy community and make a difference together!

When?
September 14th & 15th.  FCS Students will be at the park from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm.

Where?
Jim Warren Park at 705 Boyd Mill Ave. Franklin, TN 37064. Enclosed Pavilion on Thursday and Lake Pavilion on Friday. (Look for FCS sign & volunteers).

What if there is rain?
We go on, rain or shine! Bring towels, umbrellas, blankets, etc. Our central point is a covered pavilion.

Three great ways to contribute:
1. Chalmers Change: Starting August 20th, collect all the change and dollars that you can find! Together we can collect a few thousand dollars just from the change we find around our houses and choose not to spend on gummy bears or lattes! Bring your change to school throughout the 25 days leading up to the Uttermost. The “Weekly Weigh-in” will present the class with the heaviest bucket (proportionate to class size) with a “Weekly Win” and the Chalmers Change Grande Prize will be announced on the Friday of the event.

2. Uttermost Challenge Sponsorships
The goal is for every family to try to get 25 sponsors who will either contribute a one-time gift or sponsor the number of miles that are completed during the Uttermost Event on September 14th and or 15th. Dr. Grant has made a personal commitment to raise $12,000 and all together we can reach our $25,000 goal.

3. Entrepreneurial Endeavor (7th-12th Grades only)
As your first quarter project, choose an Entrepreneurial Endeavor that you can do alone or with a friend. Mowing grass, cleaning out flower beds, and babysitting are just a few possible options. Make as much money as you can between August 20th and September 13th.

What do I bring?
Bring your own lunch and anything you need to run, walk, or bike, depending on what you choose to do.

What do I wear?
Running attire. We will provide the shirt. Shorts (no spandex) & running leggings are acceptable.

What will be provided?
Water, Gatorade, snacks, and your shirt to wear
